ETOWN SALSA not only makes dancing fun, but the methods of teaching will also impress you as to how fast you are picking up steps.

At ETOWN SALSA, we offer 4 different styles of Salsa. That's how much knowledge we know. Cuban & L.A. style are the easier of the 4 styles and ETOWN SALSA offers a class that will allow you to learn both in the same class. Of course you will not learn everything but you will learn the most important fundamentals to get you started and get you LOVING the Latin culture of dance in a FUN way. Not only that, SPANISH is that language that more and more North Americans are wanting to learn and ETOWN SALSA has combined BOTH! Si! Hablamos Español! ;)

Description: no dance experience needed, no partner necessary but beneficial, just your enthusiasm, fun and smiles are necessary. To register, purchase an 8 class punchcard ($150+tax) or drop-in ($25+tax )on our website and you can drop-in to any class posted on our site. Registrations showing on the site do not correctly reflect actual attendance as these are setup as drop-in.

Note: Level II is not just simply 8 class and move on to Level III, an good individual may be able to master Level II after 4-6 mths of classes. An average individual requires at least 1-2 yrs before moving up. Level III is by instructor admission only.

Do you love great latin music? Do you love to dance? Looking for an opportunity to try out a little latin dancing or practice all the moves you learned at the last latin dance class you took? Well here is the opportunity you have been waiting for. ETOWN SALSA, located at #201, 10923-101 st, is one of Edmonton’s premier Latin Dance Studios and has one of the nicest dance floors in town. Most Sundays ETOWN SALSA runs a Latin dance practice where you can try out all your Latin dance moves in a fun and friendly environment. We will be dancing from 8-10:30. For the first time, Edmonton is offering a teens only Salsa class catered to teenagers from the ages of 13-17. If you have a teen that is almost a teen, we may accept them in as well. Its preferred if each teen bring a partner along to help keep ratios even for the class. Keep in mind we are also reducing the price by $20 as incentive. But don't feel limited, if single, more than welcome to join, we can pair you up with one of our team members!

Already a popular dance in the nightclubs, HOUSE has a basic foundation and look that you want to fit in, but other than that, this dance is pretty open to incorporate any other dance styles you may have picked up on. Its creativity in this dance is unlimited and every individual can express your own personality through this dance.

Experienced performer and competitor Sekou will bring you his energy and talent to the dance floor. He will teach you the basis foundation of House and will get you dancing in no time!

If you are intimidated by the Latin dance scene and want to get your feet wet with some easier dance steps, we recommend these 3! Salsa Merengue and Bachata! If you go to any Latin parties, fiestas, or festivals, you will definitely run into these three typical genres of music that of course will instantly want you to move your hips to. Merengue is fast tempo'd and is a very forgiving dance that you almost can't go wrong with. Bachata is the most romantic Latin dance around. Enough said. Salsa is a little more challenging but looks really impressive if you know your basics well! This is a 10 week program that starts with Merengue first for 2 weeks, 3 weeks of Bachata,and 4 weeks of Salsa to finish. Each class is 1 hr and will cover the fundamentals you NEED to know to get yourself dancing. Once you start yourselves with these 3 dances, you will find it much easier to go and take on the nightclub scene.
