From the same organizers that brought you Salsa’n’Skate, Salsa In The City, and Salsa in the Square 2021, The Arts Council of Edmonton in association with ETOWN SALSA have brought you another weekly FREE EVENT for the next 2 months that we are sure you will enjoy!

For 9 weeks running Wednesdays from May 3 to June 28 at 6-8pm , you will get to enjoy a couple hours of Latin music and dancing that is sure to have you inspired and wanting to learn this beautiful dance! Well it's not always going to be Salsa each week, we will bring you some Bachata, Cumbia, Merengue, Merengue, Chacha to get your full Latin enjoyment!

The first hour will be a dance lesson by ETOWN SALSA from 6-7pm and the next hour will be DJ Jas playing Latin music from 7-8pm! Come check it out , you will not be disappointed! For our last Wednesday on June 28, we will also be having back Rumba Caliente LIVE with their 10 piece band.

The 2 of the most popular dances in Edmonton! It all started with Salsa and now even Bachata has its own little dance community in the city craving it's sensual sounds of the guitar. Every 4 weeks we turnover to the next dance and welcome new comers to come in. You can either sign up for the 8 weeks or just 4 weeks.

We are VERY EXCITED to have you back and dancing what you love! If you have taken SALSA or BACHATA level 1 before and are ready to move up, your first class will review all of level 1 in one class. If you haven't done Salsa 1 in some time, you may need a refresher before taking on this series. NOTE: Masks are optional and swapping optional.

On Saturday May 27 and Thursday June 8, 2023, the ETOWN SALSA Dance Teams will host its 15th annual dance night & gala theatre fundraisers called: “BAILEMOS 2023! Dance & Gala Theatre Nights”. Our amazing dance team is passionate about what they do and travelling to perform is one of the ways they enjoy displaying their talents and passion. Proceeds from this event will help offset the costs of costumes and expenses for the out-of-town travelling to salsa congresses that our team does. “BAILEMOS!” will be held at the Sherbrooke Hall (Sat May 27) and the Westbury Theatre - Fringe Arts Barn (Thurs June 8) in Edmonton. Our past galas have BEEN A COMPLETE SUCCESS and this year’s event promises to be FANTASTIC with a first class theatre facility and another energy-filled evening as it will present 2 of the ETOWN SALSA dance groups and will also be the stage for a variety of local multi-cultural talented acts, ranging from Belly dancing to the unique, rich and entertaining styles of contemporary Latin dancing.
